Twitch is bringing Stream Recaps to its website category pages, starting with World of Warcraft and announcing other categories for later that week.

Twitch announced on 4 November that its website category pages would gain a shelf of Stream Recaps above the live-channel listings. World of Warcraft is the first category, with other categories scheduled to follow later that week. The placement lets visitors browse recent highlights from channels they do not already follow. [1]

Recaps draw on clips made by streamers, editors and viewers. Twitch says streamers can change the selected moments through Stream Summary after a broadcast. The revised recap then appears on the category page. [1]

TCE’s view

For a creator partnership, the live broadcast is only part of what a new viewer may see. Brief creators on moments that make sense as short clips, including enough context to understand a demonstration. Review the recap after the stream instead of assuming the strongest live moment will appear automatically.

Twitch announced the rollout schedule but this report has not checked access in every category. A new placement does not guarantee additional viewers.
